St. Francis of Assisi

For the past decade in early October, we have celebrated the life of Saint Francis and his special relationship with wild creatures. On Sunday, October 6, you can again bringing bring your pets and other beloved creatures – four-legged, two-legged and winged, or even just a picture of an animal you love – to morning worship to receive the blessing of Saint Francis, offered by Pastor Vicky Stifter.

“We celebrate St. Francis because his life and teachings remind us the whole of creation is sacred—a value shared by Riversiders,” Pastor Vicky says. In the service, we will will also celebrate and bless wild creatures, particularly those who are endangered, through story, pictures, and puppets.
