4th of July Parade
You are invited to walk with us in the Hood River parade – the more the merrier! Wear something yellow and bring your Somos Inmigrantes (“We are Immigrants”) sign (loaners will be available).
• 9:30 am Sat, 7/4 – Gather across from Walgreens near the Pacific NW Federal Credit Union parking lot (1009 Pacific Avenue). From there, you will be directed to our parade spot.
• 10:00 – 11:00 am – Walk with us in the parade (starts on Pacific and 12th; ends at May Street near the pool).
Donations will go to the Gorge Mutual Aid fund to support those affected by ICE. This money funds a part-time coordinator who takes requests and connects individuals with trained community volunteers who will deliver food or give a ride.
The We are Immigrants campaign is sponsored by the Riverside Community Church. The goal of the campaign is to show our support – we are an immigrant-friendly community where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.
